I am proud to lead Cherry Tree Primary School as Headteacher. Cherry Tree is a strong community built on care, kindness and high expectations, and it is a real privilege to work alongside staff who give so much to our children.

Our five learning behaviours — pride, determination, curiosity, collaboration and independence — shape daily life in our school. Children grow in a safe and supportive environment where they feel confident and valued. They share a wide range of experiences that spark curiosity and help them understand the world around them.

Children learn in a school where their ideas matter, where they show determination when things feel tricky, and where mistakes are recognised as an important part of learning. They develop collaboration through kindness, teamwork and positive relationships, feeling part of a strong and caring community. They build independence, learning to make sensible choices, manage themselves well and feel proud of what they achieve.

Children laugh, enjoy being themselves and experience the warmth and encouragement that help them flourish. Successes of all sizes are celebrated, recognising effort, progress and personal growth.

Our strong partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community are central to our work. By working together, we create an inclusive, inspiring environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
